7 day GM Diet plan to loose 5 kg in a Week

Obesity is the biggest problem for any age group and as we grow up our body metabolism decreases. In this era with our  busy lifestyle loosing even one pound of weight is very difficult.   For weight loss not only is exercise important but we should know what to eat and how to eat. For losing weight many people talk about  many different diet plans but amongst them  GM diet plan is very popular. In this article we will discuses about GM diet plan for vegetarians.

What is GM diet plan?

GM diet plan is a weight loss management plan.You will be surprised to know that the most popular diet plan is not invented in any fitness center or famous reshaping Gym. GM diet plan was developed by the General Motors Corporation to help keep their employees stay in shape. In GM diet system you have to consume specific foods every day at a particular time. GM diet plan can help you to reduce 4 to 7 kg in a week if you follow it by heart and soul.

DAY 1

If you are going for any diet plan the first day is going to be the hardest which is similar to first day of school or work as you have to try  to keep yourself away from all kinds of cravings. On first day of  GM diet plan you have to keep yourself on fruits only. You can consume all the fruits, excluding grapes, bananas, litchi and mangoes. you can eat as many fruit you can want but it is always good to keep yourself restricted .

So here is a sample of day 1 of diet

Breakfast (8 AM-8:30 AM)

1 apples / pears and 1-2 glasses of water

Morning Snack (when ever you feel hungry, Any time before lunch )

1 bowl raw papaya and 1-2 glasses of water

Lunch (12:00 PM-1:30 PM)

1 bowl of watermelon or muskmelon and 1-2 glasses of water

Afternoon Snack ( Any time/when ever you feel hungry)

1 orange/sweet lime/chico fruit and 2 glasses of water

Evening (6:00-6:30 PM)

1 glass coconut water/ watermelon juice

Dinner (8:00-9:00 PM)

1 bowl of melon and 2 glasses of water

DAY 2

Like the first day second day will be a check of your dedication towards the diet .The second day is All vegetable day unlike in day one where grapes, bananas, litchi and mangoes are restricted from being consumed in Day 2 you can eat all vegetables excluding peas, corn or carrots.Drinking 10 glass water is necessary.

So here is a sample of day 2 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:0 AM)

1 medium boiled potato with olive oil or butter and should drink  2 glasses of water

Morning Snack (when ever you feel hungry, Any time before lunch )

1 bowl of cabbage or red lettuce (raw) and 1-2 glasses of water

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

Salad of 1 cucumber and 1 tomato with ½  cup boiled beet root and 2 glasses of water

Evening Snack (4:00-5:00 PM)

2 tomatoes with 2 glasses of water

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

Boiled  vegetable like broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus with salt and pepper  and 2 glasses of water

DAY 3

Day 3 is going to be easy because your body is already  adjusted to the diet plan. Day 3 is fruit and vegetable day. Day 3 is going to be combination of day 1 and day 2. You can eat any number of time and any quantity of fruit and vegetable meal . Vegetable should be raw and boiled  only. You should avoid banana and potato on 3rd day of G M diet

So here is a sample of day 3 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:0 AM)

1 Apple with  2 glasses of water

Morning Snack (when ever you feel hungry, Any time before lunch )

1/2 bowl musk melon mix with 1/2 bowl papaya with 2 glasses of water

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

Salad of 1 cucumber and 1 tomato with ½  cup boiled beet root and 2 glasses of water

Evening Snack (4:00-5:00 PM)

1/2 bowl water melon with 1 ripe mango with 2 glass of water

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

Boiled  vegetable like broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus with salt and pepper  and 2 glasses of water

DAY 4

Day 4 will definitely surprise you . This is going to be mid of your diet plan  and as you are half of way through you will feel more dedicated. From last three days you have stopped yourself from eating banana  but this is going to be your banana day. In day 4 you can eat 6 banana with 4 glass of milk and 2 big bowls of soups. Milk and banana will given to you straight for next 2 days and soups will be delight for your taste buds. Banana will also fulfill your need of sodium and potassium. Your day 4 soups should be contains garlic to reduce your craving for sweets .

So here is a sample of  day 4 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:0 AM)

1 Banana with  1 glass of water

Morning Snack (when ever you feel hungry, Any time before lunch )

Banana shake ( should contain 1 banana one glass of plain/ almond milk)

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

Vegetable  soup with banana shake . soup should contains (capsicum, onions, garlic and tomatoes)

Evening Snack (4:00-5:00 PM)

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

DAY 5

Day 5 is going to be tomatoes and beef day and  vegetarians can eat tofu instead of beef. In whole day you should eat 6 big tomatoes. Tomatoes will help you reduce the uric acid of your body . The beef will be provide you iron and protein and tomatoes will provide fiber, which aids digestion.If you are vegetarian than you can eat combination of tofu sprouts for  iron and protein.Increase your water intake on day five to purify your body from all kinds of toxins.

So here is a sample of  day 5 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:30 AM)

Soup of tofu/ beef and tomatoes.

Small bowl of sprouts

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

A hamburger patty without bread  may be consumed during lunch time together with tomatoes

For variety you can have tofu stew with tomatoes .

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

A hamburger patty without bread  may be consumed during lunch time together with tomatoes

For variety you can have tofu stew with tomatoes .

Drink more and more water on day 5 .Drink up to 14 glasses of water on this day so that your body system will be detoxified and get rid of unnecessary nutrients provided by the meat.

Day 6

Day 6 is called as feast day or a cheat day in GM diet. Again Day 6 is similar to day 5 . Day six is also going to beef or tofu day without tomatoes .You will be eating sprouts, cottage cheese and your choice of vegetable but by excluding tomatoes

So here is a sample of  day 6 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:30 AM)

Mixed vegetables stew/vegetable soup with beef cutlets

morning Snack (when ever you feel hungry, Any time before lunch )

Small bowl of sprouts

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

A hamburger patty without bread  may be consumed during lunch time together with tomatoes

For variety you can have tofu stew with tomatoes .

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

DAY 7

Day 7 is last day of your diet plan  you must be feeling happy and lighter from inside because you cleansed your system. On 7th day you can have  brown rice or half chapati , fruit juice and unlimited vegetables.

So here is a sample of  day 7 diet

Breakfast (8:00-8:30 AM)

Mixed vegetables stew/vegetable soup with fresh juice

Lunch (12:00-1:00 PM)

A bowl of  brown rice with cooked mix vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and asparagus with a slice of ripe  mango

Dinner (7:00-8:00 PM)

A bowl of  brown rice or Half of chapati with cooked mix vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and asparagus with a slice of ripe  mango.

By following GM diet plan for 7 days and by following it strictly you can easily loose 5- 8 kg  . But only weight loss is not important rather one should look at maintaining it . For maintaining your weight  you should shift to healthy foods with at least 45 minutes of workout .

Warnings: Don’t use this diet plan if you are breastfeeding a child.

    Can I have red meat instead of tofu & beef ? Please reply asap. Thank you.

      In 5th day of GM diet plan our body needs more fat so beef is included . In 100gm of beef their only 1.34% of fat. On the other hand red meat of lamb has 17% of fat while red meat of pork has 41% of fat. So red meat is a big no, go for tofu and if you don’t like tofu than you can have sprouts as a substitute
