Home Remedies for Frizzy Hair

1.Coconut oil and olive oil- Mix warm coconut oil with 1/4 part of olive oil. Massage with this mixture for 20-30 minutes cover with shower cap and leave it over night or minimum for 5 hours . Wash your hair with any protein rich shampoo. Repeat this processes every week .  After that you can feel the difference

Egg and extra virgin olive oil mask- A dry or frizzy hairs is usually due to lack of  proteins. Egg is rich of protein as egg contains natural amino acid. Olive oil is one of the top emollients that can help hairs stay silky . Take a egg and remove white part from  the yolk . Now mix it with olive oil and lemon and leave it for 30 minutes to dissolve. Apply and rinse it after 20 minutes through regular shampoo process.

3. Banana Yogurt Mask- Banana is rich with sodium and potassium and natural oils while  yogurt is full of protein. So this mask will give your hair proper nourishment. Banana will also help your hair retain moisture.

Process of making a banana yogurt mask

  • Mash a ripe banana and add 6 table spoon of yogurt in it.
  • Add 2 table spoon honey
  • Add 2 table spoon olive oil
  • Apply this mask all over your hair and scalp
  • Leave this mask for 30- 45 minutes
  • Wash your hair with good shampoo

4. Baking soda – You must be wondering how baking soda can help your hair stay silky. Baking soda is also called  sodium bicarbonate and it is  an ingredient that cleanses the hair as a shampoo and softens the hair as a conditioner. Baking soda  is alkaline as it has more hydroxide ions. Baking Soda has a neutral pH of 7.0—the pH of distilled water so it helps your hair to retain moisture

Mix 1 table spoon of baking soda in your shampoo and wash your hair with it and you will get instant result.

5.Avocado Mask-Avocado is considered as a super food. We all know many benefit of eating avocado. Avocado is one of best food for hairs . It is rich with potassium It had more potassium then banana and is also full of fat. Avocado mask will also help your hair resist moisturizer  in your hair.

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Mix every thing together
  • Apply on your hair and leave for 30 minutes
  • Wash with good shampoo

6.Mayonnaise and almond oil mask- This is one of the most effective hair mask for frizzy hairs and applying this mask will give you smooth and silky hair

  • Take 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • Add 1/3 cup of almond oil.
  • Add one egg (as per your choice or for extra conditioning )
  • Apply on your hair
  • Leave this for 1 hour
  • Rinse with vinegar
  • After 1 hour Rinse with water

7.Beer-Beer is not only good in drinking. It can also help your hair stay healthy.  Beer has many nutrients, minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants that your hair needs. If you are looking for beer as a home remedy for hair than take dark beer for better result.

  • Coat your hair with beer and leave it for few minutes.
  • Wash your hair with cold water
  • Repeat this process once in every two weeks.

8.Honey – If you have time crisis then honey is your solution. Apply honey on your hair and  scalp and leave this for 5 minutes and than rinse with water it will give you good result.

9.Apple cider vinegar- Like eating a apple keeps a doctor away on similar   lines an Apple cider vinegar will  keep frizzy hair away. The acid in apple cider vinegar will smooth out the frizz and give new life to your dull hair.

  • Mix equal amounts of water with apple cider vinegar to reduce its acidic property and use it as a final rinse after washing and shampooing your hair. This simple remedy will make the hair frizz less and also add shine to your hair. You can use it every two to four weeks.
  • Alternatively, you can apply apple cider vinegar diluted with water onto your scalp with a cotton ball. Then comb your hair gently to distribute the solution. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse your hair well. Repeat this once a week.

10.Lemon juice – Lemon is full of vitamin C. As Lemon juice do wonders on our skin in the same way it  works wonders on dry hair and scalp. Squeeze two lemon and mix with water. Massage this gently on your scalp and hair. Leave for half an hour for it to work. Wash off with cold water.

11.Coconut milk-Coconut milk works as a natural light protein and moisture treatment for frizzy hair. You can extract coconut milk from the flesh of the coconut or opt for one available in the market.

  1. Put two tablespoons of coconut milk in a small pot and heat it until it is warm. Make sure it doesn’t get too hot and burn.
  2. Apply the warm coconut milk on your hair and cover your head with a towel. Leave it on overnight.
  3. In the morning, wash your hair with shampoo and let your hair dry naturally.
  4. Do this twice a week to enjoy shiny and bouncy hair.

12.carbonated water –The simplest and easiest method is a carbonated water rinse. After washing your hair, give it a final rinse with carbonated water. The low pH level in carbonated water helps to reduce frizz.
